HISTORY OF VOXNEWS

Voxnews had it's humble beginnings in as one of the earliest widely read news blogs. This was before the term blog was invented. The year was 1997 and I was disillusioned by the fact that there was a huge gulf between the official version of events and what actually happened. In particular I was disturbed by the fact that had grown up "believing" one set of political realities only to discover that many things that I was taught by "the system," schools, the media, the history books, and the rest of officialdom was a lie.

It was the discovery of the truth about the CIA's assassination of John F. Kennedy which stood as a particular activating event in my political consciousness. That they can so thoroughly extinguish such a hope as was the promise of JFK and do so in the light of day and with the full weight of officialdom behind the coverup of such a terrible lie made me uncoomfortable to know what kind of government I was living under and what kind of threats that we all face from such a government. From that point on, I saw things in a different light. 

Having traveled throughout the world I came to very much like the many different peoples and countries I visited. But when I saw the systematic oppression and deception of the peoples and countries of the world by my government I decided to do everything in my power to expose counter and restrain this governments ability to export terror, assassinations, theft and lies to the beautiful people of the world or anyone for that matter.

Around 1995 I built my first news site on an earthlink subdomain.

I was producing a television show during this period and already had a substantial video editing facility but still it was not possible to stream the video I was producing on the early internet back then - the internet was too slow for video. I tried though and still have some early clips of those earliest of early web video of our show about the arts, music and alternative scene in New York around 1992-1994

I immediately started putting up primitive websites using whatever software and templates I could find then customizing them to make them look a little more special than the average ready made web template, but my early websites were bits of code I borrowed from here and I learned HTML coding.

By 1997 I had a full blown news website - it was angry and militant in tone. The writings by this time were scathingly critical of the government and advocated direct action.

I registered www.fuxnet.com (imagine the days when you could get a three letter domain)  browsers started to appear and the World Wide Web was kicking into action. During a vacation in 1998 I failed to make a payment on that website and I lost that domain. 

In 1997 I had registered www.voxnyc.com and began coding a more complex and intricate web news portal. Very anarchistic in nature but always very intelligent focusing on political theory. 

In July 1999 I registered www.voxfux.com and placed similar content on it but the main site was located at www.voxnyc.com

I felt that we were a terrorist government and that I would create a popular information service to shed light on the fundamental dangers that the US government more and more represented and to organize opposition to the criminal terrorist leanings of the US government.

After the election of George Bush I began ramping up the website in a state of emergency. I was utilizing email spiders to search the web and retrieve emails from any website that contained search terms that I had specified that pertained to the things I was writing about. I would send mass emails with inflammatory headlines that I called "hooks" such as "Secret Cabal Behind Bush Plan Bio Terror Attack On US City As Pretext For Consolidation Of Total Power." 

Through this method I built a large and loyal following. The truth at last. 

I toyed with many designs and many logos during this period.

My logs showed that I had as many as eighty thousand individual users at any given day which peaked the day after Senator Paul Wellstone was assassinated by a covert death squad organized by the Bush criminal intelligence group. On that day I had hit the magic number 250,000 hits to the site. 

Also at this time the Intelligence agencies were attacking my site full time and I was eating drinking and sleeping voxnyc.com. I had no choice. The hackers government forum hackers knew when I was sleeping and by the time I would wake up every morning I would have to spend an hour or five undoing the vandalism that had been done to the site during my sleep. I had no administrator approval of comments before they get posted and the process of removal involved lengthy sessions. I was using the relatively primitive Greymatter blog software. And it was a full time and thankless job. 

But it was a prodigious time for political writing because during this time the CIA and the Bush Administration were rolling out new assassinations and covert terror attacks every day. So literally every day there was a new covert attack or psychological operation, or massive disinformation campaign by this very criminal administration and it became challenging to keep up with the sheer vast amount of terror and criminality produced during the Bush years. 

Then the morning of Friday the 13th December 2002 after about a year of dealing with very spooky death threats from what I had identified was coming from the intelligence agencies themselves - there was a thunderous banging on my door of my warehouse space in the "Dumbo" section of Brooklyn. 

It was a joint task force of FBI, Secret Service and CIA and they had conducted multiple simultaneous raids on multiple locations that I was known to frequent. I opened the peephole and saw a frightening array of "Men in Black" and never opened that door. An hour later after they left I discovered that they surrounded a house that I owned on Long Island, kicked the doors down and held a tenant there at gunpoint thinking he was me. 

I went into hiding for three months until the ACLU, NYCLU, Electronic Frontier Foundation, The Center for Constitutional Rights and civil rights lawyer Ron Kuby provided support for my case and at that point I was no longer going it alone. Those three months alone were the scariest months of my life. (Very stressful being hunted by the most fearsome group of terrorists with a license to kill and a media who will happily say you committed suicide.)

During this time many well knob authors who did what I did were "suicided" by the shadowy intelligence networks. Pulitzer Prize winning investigative Journalist Gary Webb was murdered by one such group and it was made to look like a suicide, also Mark Hatfield author of the book "Fortunate Son" about George Bushes little criminal existence was also suicided. And there were too many others at this time. So I had to publish an Anti Suicide Statement declaring that under no circumstance would I ever consider suicide. During the time I was hiding from the Intelligence agencies the government simply shut down my website and stole the domain www.voxnyc.com (it was registered by Network Solutions Inc which was operating in tandem with the intelligence agencies and run by ex intelligence agency personnel so they simply canceled the account and I had no recourse whatsoever. I did not have the money to launch a legal campaign for damages and the contract at the time only compensated loss for the value of the site fees. 

So one of the largest alternative news services was simply shut down. 

I quickly moved whatever articles I could find in caches over to the voxfux website and immediately started publishing again. But the constant forum vandalization and constant maintenance required took it's toll and the site went into a state of dormancy while I focused on creating video documentaries and researching and writing political theory. 

At this time I delved heavily into philosophy and gained an understanding of Quantum Mechanics which led to an integration of both in many many written works that I published only to a very small audience and purposely did not make my philosophical or political writing available to a wide audience. 

Around 2008 the time was right and the awareness of many of the issues that I fought hard and literally beat my head against a brick wall trying to create awareness of on a mass scale began to crystalize in the minds of many more than had existed when I first started publishing this information and so began the reestablishment of a vital news service in the pursuit of truth, freedom and the liberation of the spirit of humankind.  www.voxnews.com is back!
